More About Rhonda
I am a woman of words and a catalyst for deep connection. I stretch myself in all that I do to live an
authentic and meaningful life. I am fortunate to know that my happiness is my responsibility.
Although like many women, I have at times underestimated my worth, I now believe it is possible… no, imperative for all women to shine, each in their unique way. To honor all women, I am called to demonstrate that it is possible to create a prosperous and sustainable living doing work I love in a life-affirming way that honors my values, generates abundance, and fosters freedom.
I am a creative Renaissance woman who has worn many hats, personally and professionally. I have labor-coached, been a childbirth instructor, prepared siblings and their families for the birth and welcoming a new baby, sat at the bedside of cancer, and acted as a hospice care provider at several
passings. I have taught at many grade levels and mentored women through different stages and phases of life. I still act as an officiant at weddings and other celebrated life events. I have been referred to as a ‘Life Doula’ – a midwife of transitional moments at each stage of development from ‘womb-to-tomb’. I make a difference by holding
a sacred place, honoring people and their process.
I am experienced as a speaker, mentor/coach, facilitator, writer and consultant who specializes in happiness, women’s empowerment, conscious living, and the Circle process. I am passionate about creating a new paradigm where women and men alike can reclaim who they authentically, blending the benefits of their perspectives to develop skills for living a joyful life from the inside out.
My work continues to inter-weave with who I am as a person. It cannot go without mentioning that I am the mom of two incredible daughters and a hands-on Grandma ‘Tutu’ of three boys and a newborn baby girl. I intend to be for them someone they can trust and demonstrate to them the faith that peace is possible in their lifetime.
Inspired by the integrity of my father, who was a ‘car guy’, I am the author of DRIVE YOURSELF HAPPY: A Motor-vational Maintenance Manual for Maneuvering Through Life. I have used car analogies and ‘motor-vational’ metaphors when speaking about happiness. Through the strategies for happy living offered in my book, I transform an experience as familiar as being in a car into a meaningful, memorable and light-hearted personal growth adventure even for a devoted pedestrian.
I believe my life’s journey has been made easier by acquiring the insight that we can be happy regardless
of our circumstances. Most recently I walked the healing and courageous journey through leukemia with my now-four-year-old grand nephew who was diagnosed when he was barely two. After the rigors of treatment and a bone marrow transplant, in this moment, he is cancer-free and I am forever changed. This experience has expanded my knowing even further that life is too short not to be doing work you value with people you love and respect.
I am proud of my array of hard-earned credentials and certifications, however, I believe my greatest wisdom and insight have been honed by facing life’s day-to-day experiences with an open heart, willing to grow. I have blended my intuition, education and experience to offer presentations for prominent corporations amidst the challenges of change. These include IBM, Pacific Bell, Chase Bank, Anderson Consulting, and MGM. I welcome opportunities to speak for diverse educational and community groups, local and global, about happiness, leadership, women’s issues, communication, conscious living, and personal excellence.
As life does, my work has evolved. I now focus on working with women committed to their own evolution and excellence. Beyond speaking to general audiences about happiness, as Co-Founder of Circle Connections, Inc. I am dedicated to speaking and presenting for women’s groups and mentor-coaching individuals about the magnificence of women and the Circle Process.
I am a hands-on learner who has combined my willing sense of adventure and my love of learning with my dedication to creating a life of meaning. I have experienced the value and thrill of stretching outside of my comfort zone to become more than you thought you could be. I was behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle by the age of 3 and rode dirt motorcycles as a teen. I have bungee-jumped, sky-dived, walked on hot coals, and have raced vintage cars. I am a global citizen and woman on the move who straddles between my home in Washington State and my grandchildren in Los Angeles.
I know that each moment is precious. Sensitive to how fragile life can be, I am passionate about devoting my life’s energy to create innovative, fun, and fulfilling ways to join with others who share a similar passion for conscious, joyful ad prosperous living and trust that opportunities will come my way.
