Speaking
I started my speaking career over a decade ago providing back-up speaking for Richard Carlson, author
of Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff. Through his encouragement and treasured friendship, I authored and published my own book, DRIVE YOURSELF HAPPY: A Motor-vational Maintenance Manual for Maneuvering through Life.
I am delighted to have the heartfelt endorsements of other self-help greats such as Bernie Siegel, author of Love, Medicine, and Miracles, John Gray, author of Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus, and famous race car driver, Mario Andretti.

Drawing from the core principles in my book I tailor keynotes and presentations that offer a practical road map for durable happiness, life-balance, and stress-less present moment living, personally and professionally, for corporate and community groups.
General topics include:
DRIVE YOURSELF HAPPY: The Power of Balancing the Wheel of Life
Work-Life Balance that will point you in the direction of greater creativity, collaboration, productivity and meaning
Choice, Accountability, and Responsibility are three essential keys to creating a life of sustainable happiness. I share simple strategies for accessing your joy, creating work-life balance, and transforming your life into a ‘joy ride’.
Making Friends with Change: How to Maneuver Life’s Detours from ‘Womb to Tomb’
Learning to respond, rather than react, when ’shift’ happens
Every stage and phase of life comes with its share of unexpected or unwanted twists and turns, but resistance only makes it worse. I point out some of the common detours of life, and ways to get back ‘on the road’ to happiness.
Running on Empty: The Importance of Women’s Empowerment in an Ever-Changing World
Managing stress, facilitating change, and creating sustainable happiness with a woman’s touch
Women are amazing multi-taskers, but over-extending and becoming burned-out brings many a good woman down. I share about the role of women amidst change, the value of shared leadership, and the importance of self-care.
What About the ‘Big Stuff’?: The Journey from Surviving to Thriving Is Only Sixteen Inches
Traveling from your head to your heart to find joy in the cracks of life when facing illness and any other challenge in your life
We can manage to maneuver the ‘little stuff’ in life, but, what about the ‘big stuff’? I offer personal experiences and profound evidence that happiness is possible, even amidst the ‘big stuff’.
I would be delighted share about the benefits of Circle and speak for your group, circle, corporation, or organization about the issues that touch women’s lives. All topics can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
Because of my own journey to greater self-acceptance and the benefits I have experienced through deep connection as a result of the Circle Process, I co-founded Circle Connections, Inc. Under this umbrella it is my greatest pleasure to speak with and for women ready and willing to step into their authenticity and to connect one circle, one connection, one step at a time, personally, professionally, locally and globally.

Recent life events have changed me forever. I have indisputable evidence that even when life seems bleak, hopeless and overwhelming, you can be happy.
Two years ago my niece called. Through her tears she shared that her barely
two-year-old son, Connor, had been diagnosed with leukemia. Connor was airlifted from Alaska to Seattle with his dad and Alicia and their 5 month-old son Carson followed. Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House became our dual homes for the next year. There we bonded together and by creating an amazing circle of support, we faced the relentless unknowns of cancer.
My priorities immediately shifted. To be available for the unpredictable needs of this remarkable little family I suspended my speaking. Their challenging situation offered me a fertile laboratory to practice what I teach and test if it truly is possible to be happy regardless of our circumstances.
Exactly one year after diagnosis and surviving a bone marrow transplant, this formerly bald headed little Buddha of a boy was able to return home. We celebrate that, in this moment, he is cancer-free.Connor has taught us that ‘now’ is the only moment you really have.
How excited I am to tell this important story. I look forward to the opportunity to share with you 365 days with Connor: the Lessons Learned from a Two Year–Old Bald-Headed Buddha.
With Connor as my model let me show you how to break free of feeling a victim of life’s inclement circumstances. Connor may have had cancer, but cancer never had him, therefore his message of hope and possibility is one worth sharing.
